“The Yin / Yang theory (in a brief summary) is a logic that explains patterns, relationships, and the continuous process of natural change, consisting of two opposite aspects. Slow - Fast, Dark - Light, Cold - Warmth, Up - Down.  It explains that a part can only be understood in relation to the whole, that yin-yang must contain within themselves the possibility of change, and to be broken down further. Meaning, each aspect is a starting point for the other aspect. These photographs are a result of how I see the essence of the ocean. My experiences with her; a part of my whole. No days are alike out there. Surfing demands of you your present awareness. The elements are always in motions, always the possibility of change.

An oceans so comfortable; like you are on your couch, snuggled in your bed. An ocean filled with warning signals, return to land. An ocean so gentle, translucent, the silkiest green waves gliding over your skin. An ocean so opaque, churning, exhausting. The current relentlessly taking you away.”

Photographs printed on archival Hahnemühle Photo Rag Satin Paper (100% cotton rag), mounted on 4-ply museum rag board. Each print is framed in German Silver Metal Frame, 16" x 24".
